Big Digital Project Tameside
As part of the Tameside Culture team I was asked to join the event as a contributor of images and also the setting up and running of the show. This will now enable me to host lightshow events for Tameside Culture. This is part of the Big Digital Project. The first set of pictures were shot on the Sunday morning and then later used in the light show. The later ones were of setting up and the show itself. As you can see it was a VERY busy day. Here are the words from the big digital project site.
The Big Digital Project is lighting up Greater Manchester, giving local people the chance to make & stage their own light show about where they live. Using custom designed, open source software & multiple projectors people will share their response to a very simple question: ‘What do you want to say’?
Their stories will be showcased locally and in a spectacular finale in Central Manchester in 2014 – a large-scale, live sound & light event performed by the people that created it.
Big Digital Project is a community-led project produced by Lets Go Global.
Big Digital Project is managed and produced by Lets Go Global, a media and arts organisation based in MediaCityUK.
The Big Digital Project is a partnership project supported by Greater Manchester Strategic Arts Fund, funded by AGMA and Arts Council England.
